I’ve invested a lot of money on Airports in Alaska and the textures still look like cheese. Yes I have ORBX mesh. Yes my internet is pretty fast (850 down). Yes I’ve fiddled with graphics settings (even with LOD set to 400). Fix this region it deserves it!
I too wish Alaska had better fidelity. I have been to Alaska numerous times and flown over the state. It is amazing beautiful in real life, and disappointing to go back and refly the same area in MSFS. I have read that it is very difficult to get accurate data for that area. This may be contributing to the lack of true fidelity in the graphics.

I know that today the coverage of Alaska in Bing maps in not the best one. I am also aware that coastal vector information available is also not of the best quality.
But, having worked so frequently with Orbx, where, AFAIK, it’s still the home of Holger Sandmann, I’m sure all of you can offer us something better. His several renditions of Alaska since FS2002 days has always been a joy for simmers bush pilots.
Alaska well deserves a World Update. C’mon Jorg, make it real!

HAve not been up to Alaska in a couple of updates and am a little shocked that it’s this bad. For such a spectacular scenery place it’s really a disservice to MSFS.
