Guess the 2nd career patch finally destroyed my career, too. Get the unexpected error whenever I try to start a second search and rescue mission. Not so unexpected error anymore maybe that is what they werer aiming for with this newest patch.
Bottom line is this product should have released November 2025.

Unplayable on majority missions..
None crash otherwise at the moment for me. Only this error in career mode.
only is happening to me on the high value missions to goodyear for some reason. that airport is cursed. i can skip to descent, but if i try and fly, it fails about 10 min in. im always at a high sim rate and the frame rate is lagging before i even take off. was the fouth career mission and all others had been ok up to that point. i knew it was going to be a possible rough one becase framerate on vr was 20 instead of 32 on takeoff. you can just tell when shes about to have a coronary. rebooting does not fix it flying to goodyear. gotta grind to make the money, cant make the money when you cant get money for the flying. it never gives me a studder or a warning so i can slap the simrate back to normal, i normally keep my hand on the switch in case the plane stalls or does something evil. lost one that way and never again.
BTW, this problem started for me yesterday. Ive never had it before, and it happened four times on the way to a $9k mission to goodyear. my greedy ā ā ā had to keep trying.
EDIT. Now happening everywhere. rolled back the new Nvidia driver that dropped yesterday when this started. no joy. still crashing. had one after landing and right after i hit the repair+refuel button after a brake malfunction notification. other times it justā¦ happened. mostly out west, but im taking the highest value missions i can to get that caravan. really hard when i have to fly three missions to get one, maybe. this is a new issue. im hoping its a server side issue they fix just as fast.

This has got to be at the Top of the Fix list. I reset my career, purposefully changed ZERO settings from default install and I still get this error on 75% of career missions that are non flightseeing/firstflight. How do they expect us to pay 418 million credits for a 747 if we can only earn 20k at a time in a cessna flying little 20 minute tours. Iāve tried my best to be understanding, I donāt want to jump on the bandwagon of this software is garbage, but I canāt stay positive anymore. Is it prettier than 2020 yes, not by much. are there some cool planes ? none that are flyable. are the missions being randomly generated with parking spots that ensure death, or failure? certainly. Am I remotely placated by a few free aircraft that are also garbage and i will never fly ? no. Should the dev team maybe talk to itās customers a bit more, that would at least let us know that theyāre aware of the frustration theyāre causing. from what I can ascertain this error has been around since launch day (I got my first one on day 2) From what I can see it effects every career mode that proceeds beyond the most basic company. cmon Jorg, this just isnāt good enough.

Same here in career. Just getting that mid flight in a freelancer mission (VIP Charter with Cessna 172)
same. i think we are all searching for the trigger to avoid till they patch it again.

here we go, same here ! Could this be connected to the research mission ? I had no (or less) issues before this mission.
Any ideas how to solve it ?
donāt use the workaround to refuel the plane, it was the main cause of this issue for me
Agree, now I refuel in hanger then once the mission starts I skip into the cockpit and then restart the mission fuel then reflects the correct value and im able to complete missions without the error.

I used: repair and refuel ā crash
now I use: add fuel (which adds 25%) ā works
However, Refueling in the hangar does not work. I always start wirth the same amount of fuel which is unbalanced and roughly <50%.
How ever, the crashg issue is solved.
EDIT: with Update 1.2.7.0 the refueling works as intended in the game.
(no need for manual refueling anymore).
No news/comment from the devs on this? This is basically happening every mission I try now. The workaround no longer works. Not getting any error codes now: just a blank screen and a return to the Xbox home page. Hours wasted. Iām at the refund stage now guys. I canāt do this anymore. This feels more like a job than some Iād do for fun. Whereās my beta testerās salary?
using the add fuel button sparingly when both tanks are below 25% and Iāve been able to complete 5 missions. thanks to all who found and suggested this workaround.
UPDATE 12/10/24: NOT fixed.
Sorry to anyone who was hopeful like me to ne able to play career mode finally with Update 3. They have not corrected these unexpected errors.
And thats the nail in the coffin for me im getting my money back. Maybe Iāll buy it next year when the game works.
Yep, I too thought maybe this patch would help. I got about 10 minutes into the flight. Boom.. error code.
Any device want to chime in so we know this is getting to someone that matters?
Maybe do a little pass along up the chain and inform us that has happened. I mean folks a little communication can go a long way. Others we are just a group holding are junk in our hands thinking we can possibly beat the errors in litterally the most complicated game ever. So how about it.

I had this happen 8x in a row tonite. changed missions in career mode its mostly on longer flights been going on for two weeks now. I found a work around but that was patched today āvfrmapā and that sucks it was the only way i was able to finish a single longer flight. Even sim rate to altitude to get to the games skip option ill crash before i get the skip option or just after on decent or the worst after i land. Let us have the vfrmap option untill you can make the game playable again ffs.
