And, as I just discovered: it keeps on doing that each time I start the sim. So I go through the entire setup process, quit the sim, start it again and I’m back to zero.
It seems like the sim cannot access, read or save my profile information.

Same here, just started this AM

Thanks, gave it a try: I logged out of the xbox app on my windows pc, if that is what you mean. No success, still is sends me through the entire setup process. On curious thing: in the xbox app it still says “ultimate” altough I ended my subscription a few days ago. Possible cause?

…when I log out of my account within MSFS and back in, it sends me straight back to accessibility settings and wants me to go through setup all over again…

Solved - somehow. Loggin off and on again to various MS servers (xbox, marketplace,…) and serveral reboots, everything is back to normal - for now.

I am having the exact same problem this morning, never had it before.

Assuming this is a more widespread problem?

I have logged out and back in and it solves nothing.

To say I am annoyed is an understatement.

In most cases, this issue is resolved when you reset MS Store and reinstall Gaming Services. We usually see this issue when Windows Update is pushing updates also to Gaming Services.

1. RESET THE MICROSOFT STORE APP

  • On your keyboard, press the “Win Logo” + “R” keys
  • Type: WSReset.exe and press “Enter”
  • A black window will pop up
  • Wait until the pop up disappears and the Store comes up
  • Reboot your computer

2. UNINSTALL AND REINSTALL GAMING SERVICES VIA POWERSHELL

  1. Select the Search icon on the taskbar, type powershell, right-click on Windows PowerShell, and then select Run as administrator.
  2. In Windows PowerShell, type the following command and press Enter:

get-appxpackage Microsoft.GamingServices | remove-AppxPackage -allusers

  1. In the same window, type the following command and press Enter:

start ms-windows-store://pdp/?productid=9MWPM2CQNLHN

  1. Install the app on that page and select Yes when you receive the User Account Control (UAC) prompt.
  2. Restart your device and launch MSFS.

I would consider making backup of your data, either manually backing up your “wgs” folder, or let this tool manage it all for you.

I am also having this issue. Had to sign in again and when it loaded, i had to go through everything all over again. WTF

Did you apply DevilNumber’s instructions? It fixed the various start-up issues for me.

I am experiencing the same problems since yesterday. I flew with MSFS in the morning with no issues and when I launched again all my settings were gone and during the launch configuration is asking me to set up the game settings again.
I have followed the instructions from DevilNumber’s 5 or 6 times but the problem persists.
I has the simulator highly configured and fined tunned and it was working really beautiful and the idea of having to do it all over again and most likely missing some fine tunning from done in the past is not very discouraging.
Has anybody suffered this issue recently? Any idea how to fix it if DevilNumber’s instructions do not work?
Any help or idea is most appreciated !! Thanks

I just had the same problem but the instructions above helped me a lot.
My profiles are back  :+1:
