Allow full screen photos on Xbox

The new photography in FS2024 feature is fantastic idea, and a great way to capture the increased detail in the new sim.

However, on xbox there doesn’t currently seem to be a way to view photographs in full screen / resolution in the photo album. There is a file path listed but, unless I’m missing something, this is inaccessible on console and doesn’t copy into the main screen capture app.
Instead we can only view them like this:

Would it be possible to add a “view full screen” option, or at least allow us to disable the photo grid lines and hud elements prior to taking a photo, as we could then use the system level capture feature?

Yeah and I hope to see an option to share them as well.
We miss that.

Agreed. For now I’ve been viewing in the profile photo album, taking an Xbox system screenshot, then exporting to mobile, then cropping. Way too complicated.

MS - integration with one drive is the Answer! You have the tools available, give it to us please :sunglasses:

They could use onedrive even to inport/export flight plans, to be honest. Anyway, i agree with the general sentiment: to have a fullscreen mode to view our photos would be a nice “plug-n-play” addition.

Check out:

Planner.flightsimulator.com

Off game planning tool for the in plane tablets.

It’s linked to your Xbox account, you can’t load flight plans from other resources, website or players. It’s a really nice and useful addition but you’re still on your own. Anyway, i don’t want to be OT.

The other option is to be able to hide the UI when the photo is taken, so that an Xbox screenshot may be taken.

Yeah, I’ve been doing the same - but then the resulting cropped shot is lower resolution too.

I just can’t understand why there isn’t at least the option to hide the hud as @SofaJockey says. You’d think it would have occurred to someone during development…but apparently not!:grinning:

I’ve discovered a simple workaround to this in the meantime.on an xbox controller:

When you are ready to take to take the photo, press both A and the capture button at the same time.
The grid briefly disappears as the photo is saved, and the system capture seems to get it during the gap, if you see what I mean. :grinning:
