Allow hiding EFB and it's mounting bracket, it obscures the view outside

A lot of enjoyment in simming, especially in GA planes flying VFR, comes from looking at the scenery. In MSFS2024 in many GA planes like C172, the view is blocked by the EFB which can’t be hidden.
From my real world pilot perspective I can only add that this way of mounting the EFB is plainly dangerous and promoting bad habits, as no device should be installed in the plane in a way obscuring the outside view. I used to do it in the past flying VFR and it resulted with a close encounter with a glider which was obscured by my tablet. Since then I never ever mount my tablet on the windshield.
This view obstruction is especially annoying in VR, where the entire ability to look right in C172 is blocked by this EFB.
Please add an option allowing to hide this thing when it’s not needed (including the mounting holder).

Agreed. It’s a nice feature but sometimes it gets in the way.

I agree with this also, flying the Diamond DA62, half of the window is obscured.

There is a small button on the top right edge of the EFB tablet that will hide it and its mounting shoe.

However, the suction cup mount and arm (depending on aircraft) will remain, but it is a massive improvement for visibility with it hidden.

Thanks Nixon! I was trying to figure it out. Also, I couldn’t find any key assignment to disable the “Toggle EFB” message while I’m at third person view

The EFB mounting bracket stil obscures the view especially in C172 classic.

Also good to know is that if you want the EFB back in the mount and you’ve turned it off, just click on the suction cup mount.

Hi, I’m curious if there has been any progress on hiding the ‘mounting bracket’ for the EFB. Especially in the Diamond DA62. I was just in the plane over easter and could not hide the mounting bracket. I was able to hide the whole EFB but the mounting bracket is quite big in the DA62.

To be fair, the A-pillar is the biggest visual obstruction in that plane.
Try the DA42. Much, much better visibility.
