Asobo I’ve already got a third party joystick (Logitech extreme 3d pro) but like how am I meant to fork out cash for a new Xbox joystick when I’m trying to save for a PPL 
They absolutely already do this, there are a few sticks / yolk systems that are compatible with the XBOX Series X|S.
This does not have anything to do with Asobo, Asobo produced MSFS, they didn’t make the XBOX. The issue is the compatibility between the Logitech Extreme 3D Pro and the XBOX console.
It also states on Logitech’s website, this is for PC only.

Based on observation and real-world experience, it would appear that Microsoft’s Xbox division has human interface requirements that demand a peripheral have an Xbox nexus (home), menu, view, share, A, B, X & Y buttons for it to be an approved device for Xbox.
This instantly rules out all peripherals designed without the Xbox in mind.
That said, there are a number of Xbox-approved peripherals available. You’re just going to have to make a purchase, unfortunately.
