Alternative Landing Analysis Tool?

Besides “Gees”, is there any other landing analysis tool that any of you recommend?

There’s “MSFS Landing Inspector”, but that requires the installation of a Python runtime, which I would rather not do.

I don’t like how Gees pops-up the result on my main display. As a content creator, I would like to configure it to pop-up on my other display so it doesn’t appear on my recorded video. Better yet, have the ability to still record the analysis but suppress the display.

It appears that the author of Gees has abandoned the development and is unresponsive to the issues on the github site (where I’ve asked for a suppression feature or the ability to move the results pop-up). Gees hasn’t been updated since November of last year.

Even though it isn’t just a landing tool, I use Flight Recorder to review and analyze my landings. Not only can landings or any portion of a flight be recorded, it can be played back at different speeds. The best feature is the .csv file export which can be imported into Excel or any other spreadsheet. This file contains telemetry information that for example can be analyzed for landing speeds, the number of bounces, the height of each bounce. Even though it doesn’t give a landing score or grade, I highly recommend it.

MSFS Mobile companion app has a simple landing analysis and a lot of other handy stuff and a nice moving map. It runs in a browser window…in my case on a second monitor but I think it will also work on an ipad on a browser window as well.

Check out AviaFlightMonitor. It’s a payware. Provides an extremely detailed analysis.

Simtoolkit Pro and also Flightshare both have landing analysis and are free!

https://events.flighttracker.tech/ Flight events also gives you the landing rate

Has anyone experience with LRM ?

Seems kind of greedy that you have to pay separate for what airplanes you want to use the tool on. Now a days we keep getting more and more planes. A product like this should work al all your planes.

Avia FlightMonitor tool works on all aircraft.

Only the other add-ons like CDU from Avia is by aircraft.

I’m interested in trying this out. How accurate is this in MSFS? Quite a few of these landing calculators don’t really get the correct landing rate from the sim.

Do you use AviaFlightMonitor?

Yes, I am using it so quite some time now and highly recommend it. The reports are very good and detailed and provides valuable information including things like:

glide-scope and localizer capture paths
aircraft positioning when fully configured
distance from centre-line and threshold
landing rate is just one of the many items in the detailed landing details reported.

There are option settings to set your preferred pass/fail criteria if the default is not suitable for your needs. But personally the default works fine and has a high threshold for a pass.
