There is some kind of lighting effect that is being done poorly. Bloom? Not sure, I did some basic filtering for my monitor in desktop settings which help some, but yeah something hinky there.

…and it could be solved with 3 little sliders for US to adjust to our liking;

Contrast,
Gama

4K - DLSS Quality.
I’m only seeing a problem when I’m in the cockpit. I turned HDR off for these pics, but with HDR on the external and drone views look pretty awesome, and the cockpit view still looks really bad.

I can’t even get hdr10 to work in 2024.
Works fine in 2020..
Sim doesn’t recognise hdr is on in windows settings.
Turn HDR on. In sim and everything is just washed out .
Doesn’t switch to HDR
Yet all good in 2020.
Any idea though why it won’t turn on
I have it set on PC..
When I start SIM and turn on hdr10 nowt happening.
It works fine in fs2020

HDR looks great on my sim - just like with FS20. HDR screenshots are, and have always looked terrible without conversion to JPEG with Gamma adjustment and Tone Mapping.

I just can’t get it to work
As I say it works fine in 2020..
But selecting HDR in 2024 menu it just stays washed out .
If I turn off HDR in windows and revert back to without HDR it’s ok

Is it the same look from inside the cockpit, external view, and drone view?
I found that it only looks bad inside the cockpit looking out.
If I switch to drone and move around it looks great.
Same here.. Only during the day with sun. I have messed with game/graphics/monitor settings for hours. I’d turn the monitor upside down if it would fix the problem. My monitors are dedicated to FS so their settings don’t matter to me. If I fly at dusk or dawn it looks much, much better.

Mee too. I am pretty happy with the graphic details in general. BUT… the view from inside the cockpit during the day really, really sucks. I have messed with graphic settings for hours on the monitor, the game and the NVidia settings.
I think 2020 is also mostly washed out and never looked good, the cockpit area is OK. Altering the " time " to see the best picture it is the easiest way to go.
I use the filters and it does help, but as folk said it looks like they are not available for 2024 yet.
Yes…this right here. 100 times yes.
Does this “washed-out daytime only inside the cockpit” problem maybe affect some planes and not others? Could it be something related to the window textures on the models that can be reported and, hopefully fixed?
I’ve experienced no problems with the C172 or C208 which are my primary GA workhorses right now.
