AMD FSR add yourself, use the Sim openVR-api? Great Performance in DCS

Hello everyone,
the big performance update will come on Tuesday, but I expect less of it than would be possible with AMD FSR.

There is a mod with which you can add FSR yourself. Basically only the openvr_api.dll is replaced there. Does the MFS not use openvr? I couldn’t find the file. this works very well in DCS.

Hi,
I can’t help you with your question but I would like to know more about using fsr in dcs. Do you have a link to the use of fsr in DCS .
Hopefully someone will be able to help you with msfs because it could be very useful if fsr does work with it.

MSFS uses OpenXR, not OpenVR, so unfortunately the FSR mod won’t work. I can confirm though that it works miracles in DCS.

I use the DCS Settings

SteamVR Resulution 100%
FSR Resulution 0.67 or 0.77
DCS Resulution 1.0
DCS MSAA 4x
SSAA 2x

Great Performance and nice graphics

Radeon RX6900XT/Core i5 6600K OC, 32GB RAM

In theory the VR FSR mod should work with P3D because it uses OpenVR and it’s DirectX 11

Yes had to reinstall P3D. I only have some barley, tomorrow it goes on. feels like I would say it only changes the resolution in the cockpit and does not help at all

It will only help if you’re GPU limited. I’ve never used P3D, but I wonder if it’s more CPU limited.

thanks for this. shame multiplayer servers are hit n miss when it comes to allowing VR mods. Thats my #1 reason i don’t play DCS that much: I strictly play in VR and it’s tough finding a server that will let you have VR improvement mods enabled…
