  • AMD Radeon™ Anti-Lag 2 Support for Dota 2

    • Takes responsive gaming to the next level by introducing an in-game option to optimally pace frames, further reducing input lag on AMD RDNA™ architecture-based discrete and integrated graphics products.
      • AMD Radeon™ Anti-Lag 2 features an onscreen overlay that can be used to display the system latency of supported games. When Anti-Lag 2 is enabled, the onscreen overlay can be toggled on using the ALT+SHIFT+L hotkey.
        • Use the ALT+SHIFT+L hotkey to enable the Radeon Anti-Lag 2 Latency Monitor. Once activated, a small white chevron will appear in the top left corner of your display indicating that it is enabled.
        • Use ALT+SHIFT+L again to cycle through the following Latency Monitor display options: No metrics, FPS only, FPS and latency (in ms), FPS and latency (in ms and frames), FPS and latency (in ms and frames) with a legend.
        • To compare the difference between Anti-Lag 2 On and Anti-Lag Off, hold the right CTRL key.
      • Anti-Lag 2 currently supports Dota 2 while using the DirectX® 11 API.
    • Join the conversation by sharing how well AMD Radeon™ Anti-Lag 2 is working on your system. This information helps us make further improvements.
  • Fixed Issues and Improvements

    • Improvements to stutter when AMD Radeon™ Anti-Lag and AMD FidelityFX™ Super Resolution 3 frame generation is enabled.
    • Improvements to stutter while playing Fortnite with DirectX® 12 API.
    • Texture corruption may be observed while playing TEKKEN™ 8 with Ray Tracing or Upscale enabled.
    • Corruption may be observed while playing Dying Light 2 Stay Human: Reloaded Edition with Radeon™ Boost enabled.
    • Intermittent system crash or corruption may be observed while playing Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy with Ray Tracing enabled.
    • Virtual Super Resolution or Display Color Enhancements may be set to disabled after driver upgrade.
    • Unable to change display pixel format with certain Windows display languages.
    • Intermittent black corruption may be observed on scaled 3d models while using Origin or OriginPro application.

I have a RX5700 and I almost never update my drivers these days. There’s just so little in it for RDNA1 cards and I lose my stable, but signficant, overclock every time.

I don’t know if it this is because of the AMD graphics driver or the resent AMD chipset drivers I installed, but I noticed while glancing at Adrenaline yesterday after shutting down MSFS my average frame in went from a normal average of 56 fps (I fly VR only using the quest 3 never bother with 2D) without changing any settings in MSFS my average fps is now 90fps.

I have a 7900X3D on a Gigabyte 650 Pro WiFi and a 7900xtx no over clocking on either but have noticed my fps has rose after installing the AMD 26.1 and 27.1 driver “but” I still have the stuttttteeeerrrr’s while on approach. My connection internet runs around 350meg so that maybe a cause to some of the stuttteeerrr’s I get.

Anyone else noticing the uplift in fps with these newer drivers?

I don’t have sliders past 100 lod’s so I know that’s not the cause of the stutters it’s most likely online game and loading of the airport objects while on approach.

I also have a 7900x3d and a 7900xtx. The 24.6.1 drivers seemed to cause a few extra stutters for me and ran my 7900xtx a little hotter. I’ve read where the 24.6.1 drivers caused stuttering issues on various games - some games worse than others.

The 24.7.1 drivers seem to get rid of the stutters introduced by 24.6.1 and has reduced how hot my gpu runs by a few degrees. The sim seems to run very well for me in 2D mode on 24.7.1 and maybe increased fps a few. While eliminating stutters on approach is akin to finding the holy grail I’m very happy with 24.7.1 and can recommend them.

Unfortunately I do not run the sim in VR however, I have heard that the latest drivers have greatly improved fps in VR - see this video…

I was really hoping this one would work out, but no dice. I have a 7800XT, and previously on 24.5.1. When I tried 6.1, the sim would crash and force a complete system reboot almost 100% of the time before it ever got to the world menu. The few times it got to the world menu, it would crash that hard before getting into the flight. I rolled back to 5.1 and things were stable again.

Fast forward to today and I tried 7.1 with the exact same issues as 6.1. The sim was completely unplayable, unable to get into the world menu before a complete system freeze and restart. Not only that, but when I tried to run Adrenalin, it popped up an error message about it not being compatible with my GPU. Thankfully I was able to just hit ok and it let me into the program. Again, I had to roll back to 5.1 to regain sim functionality. No clue what is happening and the event viewer has been no help either, so I’m still sticking with 5.1 for now and maybe I’ll see if the third time is the charm with whatever the next version is.
