An-2 Cargo Wheels PayloadMass wrong calculated value

ISSUE DESCRIPTION

Antonov An-2 medium cargo missions are very sparse in Career Mode because the aircraft is not properly configured/defined in flight_model.cfg.

Various sources list the payload between 1,500Kg and 2,000Kg but it seems to be defined as 691Kg in the MSFS 2024 “Cargo Wheels” version.

An-2 specifications:

Empty weight: 3,300kg

MTOW: 5,500Kg

Maximum fuel weight: 907Kg

5500-(3300+907)=1293Kg

Useful load with maximum fuel (and probably pilots): 1,145Kg

    If the max_zero_fuel_weight is defined then we use that along with the empty_weight like this:

    If there is no max_zero_fuel_weight definition then max_gross_weight is used instead along with the empty_weight:

So either max_zero_fuel_weight, max_gross_weight and/or empty_weight are wrong in the flight_model.cfg. Since the files are encrypted I don’t believe I can check which one is wrong.

FREQUENCY OF ISSUE

Every time. An-2 Medium Cargo missions are very sparse, and sometimes concentrated in one spot like Alaska, by the MSFS 2024 mission generator, due to this problem.

REPRODUCTION STEPS

Please list clear steps you took in order to help our test team reproduce the same issue:

Choose Missions in Career Mode.
Having the specialization unlocked, choose to filter by Specializations → Cargo Transport - Medium.
Notice the quantity of missions available and select some to check the cargo weights (F key), most should be higher than 1000Kg.
Reset the filter and having the aircraft available, choose to filter by Aircraft model → Antonov An-2.
Notice the reduced or practically nonexistent missions, choose one of the few missions available and verify (F key) the cargo weight for those missions is at 680Kg (the minimum for Medium Cargo aircraft).
You can also check the value for “Max Weight” when buying a “Cargo Wheels” An-2 in Career Mode.
