AN-2 starter bugged

Hello,

The AN-2 is completely bugged. The cold and dark start is not possible since the switch starter logic doesn’t work anymore. Back in the day we used left click to start rotating the inertia wheel, and when enough energy available, right click on the starter to start the engine.

Now, start switch doesn’t work anymore, any click on it will get it moving left or right and then go back to center position every time, even when holding the mouse click.

Then, it is impossible to start it from cold and dark.
The checklist I follow is the built in one.
Thanks.

Just tested this and mine is working fine.

Are you using any custom livery or mod for the aircraft? I had a similar starting issue with a free livery I downloaded from FS.to

Yes, I’ll try to remove them. How can a livery break the systems of an aircraft… ?

Hi, I have removed my two customs liveries, and it didn’t worked. The starter switch doesn’t hold the commanded position.

I am currently talking with Andrey from ATSimulations to try to solve the issue.

Hi,

This is indeed a suspected bug. It clearly seems to be a bug, when you click on the starter switch, it acts weirdly, like hesitating between two commands. If I dont have anymore solutions I’ll use your proper template, but I don’t feel it is needed since you just need to follow the checklist provided in MSFS until starting of the engine…

I have deleted all customs files related to the AN-2 in my Community folder as kindly suggested by @Squirtsmcgee265 but without success. I’ll still check again my start up procedure to see if i’m not doing something wrong.

I have also completely reinstalled the AN-2 from the marketplace, the bug is still here. As said just before, I am in contact with one of ATSimulations dev and will keep informed if something interresting is found.

Thanks, have a good day.

Ok I found the problem I didn’t moved my mouse far enough to drag the starter switch to one side. I actually forgot we needed to drag it, instead I was relying on the left and right cursor arrow.

It was my mistake then. I apology for the time everybody wasted to help me and thank you.
