AN28, throttles RPM not going under 7100rpm and external hud different in rpm to interior dials

ISSUE DESCRIPTION

Description of the issue: AN 28 throttles will not decrease when throttle levers move. Interior shows 7100rpm and exterior HUD shows 1557rpm.

FREQUENCY OF ISSUE

How often does this occur for you (Example: Just once, every time on sim load, intermittently)?

REPRODUCTION STEPS

Please list clear steps you took in order to help our test team reproduce the same issue:

  1. Taxi to hold point. RPM won’t go less than 1400rpm and thus overspeeds all the time

  2. Take off, she climbs like a rocket

  3. descend and join R hand downwind, reduce throttle levers - no response from RPM indicators, sounds do not change either to indicate that they are slowing.

  4. RPM guage static at 7100rpm

  5. Aircraft slows with flaps at full enough for me to actually do a butter landing but props animation does not slow down.

  6. It does however respond to going into reverse thrust and aircraft even starts reversing.

Note torque is at 8 at flight idle and match with the photo below with exterior hud at 1557 (photos taken at seconds after the other. RPM on runway was 1400 rpm with throttle levers at flight idle (no picture of this)

At flight idle

Not quite clear from the screenshot, but aren’t those a percentage? (0-100%)

It seems so but 7,100% of RPM or 7.1% of what, which despite that should probably decrease when the throttles are decreased since in one way or another it is a factor of RPM - I am open to correction.

I don’t know if there is a manual somewhere which hopefully would clear the whole issue up.

That should be 71%. The EMB-110 has a similar layout.

You should be able to manage the RPM with the prop levers but I don’t know enough about this plane to be sure.

OK 71%, thanks. Anyway, the throttle levers were at flight idle and those percentages did not reduce a single percentage even when I was on the ground.
