Maybe a small detail, but in FSX the ai airplanes did not animate the front wheels when turning on the airport. I noticed that in flight simulator 2020 it’s still the same. Maybe a 3rd party developer will create more nicer animated airplanes in the future??
It would be nice, maybe it’s intentional as it’s just that small of a detail no resources were put forward for it
Not sure if it’s a thing for the current sim or something to consider for 24, but imho the issue is a real immersion killer and should be tackled either way:
Whenever i’m out doing bushflying (in MSFS) with a friend i have tons of fun, it’s a pretty awesome experience. However while on the ground, looking outside the window seeing my buddy floating by magically is just too much and kills my fun every time.
Not to drop any names, but i’ve come from another sim’s multiplayer environment where me and my friends been flying “off the boat” regularly, and every time all these details while still on the ground (the boat) been blowing me away…
Look, i don’t want or need properly working ground crew with all their accessories etc, but if i see my buddy floating by rather than rolling by while he’s taxiing, i’m going crazy…
I know MSFS is in a different situation regarding the sheer number of 3rd party planes and the task is probably a different one than in the sim i was referring to, however i would assume there gotta be a way to sync the data online? I mean the sim obviously “knows” wheels are wheels as they start spinning on my own plane?
Please make this happen, for immersion’s sake.
This is just from my memory, but I think a lot of Ai planes were developed to be light on resources by various developers and the coding seems to be on the aircraft model/gltf file itself.
