Yes, water rudder is on, but I’ve also tried taxiing without it. Makes no difference. In the photo you can see how lopsided the Goose hangs in the water - and it doesn’t seem to be able to get the righthand pontoon out of the water to be level.
That’s because of a badly placed loading point on whoever made the dock surely. It’s too close to the dock. It’s not setup for any aircraft with big wing floats. The other float shouldn’t be stuck up on it. MSFS isn’t very good with water docks really.

I’m not sure that’s fair, calling them abandoned. All of their addons have been pretty stable, and they simply haven’t needed much attention. There are some lingering bugs witha couple of them, but they are small things like fire extinguishers. If core systems like the flight model were broken and never fixed, I’d call that abandoned.

I wonder if Big Radials should maybe fix the stuff they already took our money for before they try to sell us pre-release future planes. I did see they were coming out with a new plane so I fired up the goose to see if it was any better than the last time I tried it. Nope. I won’t be buying it, even though I do want it… The Goose has been out for years now and its still unusable in the water., now they want money for something else…

I agree, their early access announcement left a sour taste in my mouth, as does that trend as a whole.
That said, I haven’t noticed any strange behavior with the water handling. Maybe I’m too dense to see it?

I would say try to start somewhere besides straddling a dock. Actually bodes well for a realistic model because it would never leave the dock like that IRL.

Yes, more of a mooring style plane, or even more often, a drive it up on the beach plane… Easier to run up the engines if you start on the beach and drive in…

Ah, always good to see someone who knows Tales of the Gold Monkey. I gotta watch it again! Thankfully I own the show on DVD. Highly recommended for anyone who likes the Goose.
