I’ve been waiting for this one. I swore I’d never do miljets here, yet I now have:

AP Fouga Magistere (my first miljet)
JF Avro Vulcan
JF Hawk
CJS R-FAL
Shrike F-86
IFE F-14
IFE Tornado

And hopefully next week on Xbox marketplace…

hopefully yeah

Ha I’m with ya, plus a few more!

I end up not flying them a ton, but man they are fun when I want to go fast. Plus they look so awesome, hard to resist.

No doubt excellent, but since I purchased the Bronco just minutes ago I will give my PayPal account a day to relax and wait for some reactions to lead into my purchase tomorrow. :sunglasses:

The Tornado is one of the most beautiful jets ever created, along with the F-14, the F-15, the F-16 and the F-18 (I see a pattern here … where is the F-17, Northrop? What happened!?!).

Just Flight are still making one, right? (GR-1). Might be a reason to give my wallet a breather until then!

LOL, as soon as I get my computer put back together I’m going to grab the Bronco.
I have the freeware model, but it was…not what I was hoping for.

“Hello, my name is Joe, and I’m a modelholic.”

There’s definitely part of me thinking this. I do like the IFE stuff I have so far, but I prefer the JF stuff. But I really like Dino and his approach. And I’m impatient. I suspect I’ll be ridiculous enough to end up buying both.

Yeah, that seems to be the case. Both the IFE F-14 and the Just Flight Vulcan are superb, while I’ve never really gotten into the Hawk. With so many plane models out there still not modelled, it is amounting to a waste of effort to have two devs of somewhat equal talent make the same plane. How about an EE Lightning, TSR-2, Meteor or Buccaneer if keeping to British military models.

Where is the nosewheel steering located in the cockpit?

Ooh this should be fun… adding to this wishlist though, I also have some wallet fatigue from last week’s releases plus some old catch-up purchases.

I did not found a button. You have to use a Key/button bound to NoseWheel Steering Limit Set (or so).

Looks amazing. I’m definitely buying both. Anybody know which hangar that is in the above video?

I wonder if the missing navigation system will stay that way or if IFE has plans to do it in the near future.

Also it would be cool to be able to change the main screen maps as the one it shows today looks really unrealistic - I think - it is just too colorful and really distracting.

I would love to use it as a recognaissance plane but I think it is not there yet and considering JF is also working on the same aircraft I think I will wait and see.

Which system is missing?
It’s got the best low-level nav I’ve seen…

AFAIK the Tornado can use your MSFS flight plan and you can navigate to waypoints in that FP but does not have a funcional way to create the flight plan, waypoints, etc inside the cockpit. You can’t enter your initial position, align the INS, enter waypoints, etc.

Was my understanding wrong?

In R/L Tornado crews created their flightplans before flying, on a computer looking older than a Tandy TRS-80 and took them out on a audio cassette to insert in the jet (and you could play music on the tape reader), so I’m happy using Little NavMap.
Initial position and alignment are done for you, I expect you can enter lat long waypoints, not tried to do that.
More importantly when flying the HUD and HSI indicate your track, the WSO steps through the waypoints for you and calls them out with distances which works really well and is the closest to reality we can get.
I guess it depends if you want to spend your time at 600 Kts and 100 ft down a deep valley or sat on the apron pushing buttons
The map has the benefit of being simple to implement and covering the world, it should however have a planned route overlay but doesn’t seem to, and it’s a bit garish…
The XPlane Trident for example needs user-created maps and is a bit of a hassle.
