We have the AN-225 for some time now. I have been having a good time flying it, recreating historical flights that I have been able to find through numerous forums, video’s and ADS-B Exchange.
As I have done as many historical and some non historical flights, I’m at the point where a lot of airports I’m trying to fly to are not code F certified and thus realistically are not able to handle such a UNIT of a plane.
Luckily the AN-124 would be a great alternative if we had one in the sim but unfortunately we don’t, at least not to the level of detail the AN-225.
Yes I am aware that there is a freeware AN-124 available, however, I feel like it lacks the necessary detail and modeling for it to be good enough. (also having it be merged with a 747-8 cockpit just feels weird and wrong.)
I believe that creating the AN-124 should be quite doable since most of the assets of the AN-225 can be used for the AN-124 (e.g sounds, autopilot systems, engines performance, plane model even to some extent). Alongside that, since the request if for the AN-124-100M, the FMC of the Boeing 747 (or at least the model of the FMC) would be a great addition for flight management.
To finish up this request, I would like to suggest Asobo/Microsoft to collaborate with Inibuilds to create this plane, as this partnership has giving us the amazing AN-225.
I hope that we see an accurate and beautiful rendition of the AN-124 in the near future.

I so would enjoy piloting a AN-124 Famous Flyer in the sim!
My understanding at one time is that there was an intent to introduce additional Antonov products by Inibuilds, but not sure if that intent has passed. I do know that you get into perception complexities in regard to their aircraft being seen wrongly as “Russian” so the public throws a tantrum due to global events. We saw it with the 225 release and sadly since both Ukraine and Russia still fly the 124 I think it would be a bigger problem there. Easily mitigated through education but the ignorant are often the loudest.
Recommend posting a bug report in the appropriate official forums section and also emailing the dev (ATSimulations) to ensure awareness. I think his name is Alex or Alexei. As the An-2 was produced by a different third party dev, I don’t see why an AN-124 development would be prevented or halted by production from a differing company/team.

That’s the thing tho, the AN225 and AN124 (and basically all the Antonov planes) are not Russian but Ukrainian by origin and make.
I honestly think that politics should be left aside when it comes to developing aircraft and scenery for flightsim if you ask me.

Fully aware and fully agree, that’s what I stated what did, but look at the plethora of stupid comments on Instagram for example on the official MSFS account. People run when ignorance, which can on occasion inhibit aspects of the hobby.
