the tip with the rudder was the burner, I get along now, but would like to include the C172 also in Kinetic Assistant, you need a long runway if you want to use the Tow Plane…

Yes, in the training section of MSFS you scroll down until you see the Gliders section. There they have tutorials for Aerotow and Winch launches. They are recommended.
I think a new topic should be created for how-to do the Winch launch. The winch launches how-to is another story.
this is still not working for me. NUM0 and ENTER are bound to rudder left, and right, but there are no details for how far to move or what timing to use. I have tried full deflection, part deflection, very small and fast deflection. Nothing works. Plane just sits there. Do we need to run KineticAssistant or is this stand alone?
I don’t like some of the tutorials because the input triggers are pretty flaky. They don’t fire unless you match the expected input pattern EXACTLY. One single youtube showing how this is done would be enough to crack it open, otherwise, you could be here all day trying to guess the correct pattern.
The other possibility is that other control binds are interfering… for example, the tutorial starts in 3rd person, and is doing something funny to AxisAndOhs… the plane isn’t identified properly until entering first person. I’m not sure what’s going on there, but I’m not using the AAO rudder binds, instead I’m using the keyboard num0 and ENTER, it should work.
I’m not getting a ground crew for glider take offs. My wing is always falling down when starting the flight. Any idea how to solve this?

It shows a runner keeping the wings level along side at takeoff in the tutorial. I do not see the runner and my wing also drops on start of the training.
I tried removing KineticAssistant and restarting in case that was interfering somehow, but it didn’t change anything. I’m also running better pushback, etc. I’ll try disabling all mods and see if that changes anything.
ok, disabling all the mods and restarting brought the wing walker into training and allowed the event to trigger properly. Some mod appears to be blocking the normal functioning of the gliders.
I’ll try to narrow down the conflict to the mod.

Looks like the issue is other scenery mods causing the chap holding the wing not to appear and therefore the whole thing not to work. Hope there’s a fix that can be brought in…
3rd party airports block it for me.
Anyway, it would be much better to have a tool in the tools menu to call a winch or towplane, wherever you are.
The new glider launch function works only for the 2 new MSFS official gliders.
For the 3rd party gliders it looks like KineticAssistant is still the way to go.
