Can anyone tell me how to make the tow plane take off and activate a winch launch? I’ve not been able to find any instructions for this.

You gotta wiggle the rudders left and right over and over and eventually the tow goes. Almost like “signaling” for a tow.

It says to hit num-0 in the tutorial for take-off. I dont have a num-0 nor is num-0 assigned to anything in my controls. There also doesn’t seem to be anything tow plan related other than to disconnect in my controls. So weird!

If you mean how to change lanunch method you can do it here - in aircraft selection for gliders there is an option “LAUNCH METHOD”

Rudder left and right many times to alert the cessna pilot to go :slight_smile:

Same problem here. I’ve moved the rudder left and right for about 5 minutes and no response from the tow plane.

At least on PC you need it to bind it to a button or key yourself, it is not bound by default - search for “release” action in controls.

A note from my experience. The man that is holding the wing to start a flight is an Airport Service.
Then, if you don’t have other Airport Services on MSFS because any addons with wrong airport service definition, be aware that you will not have this wing man, and by that reason you will not be able to start a glider flight from a runway, only already in the air.

In the settings before you start the flight. Like in the same place you’d switch liveries or change your callsign.
