I do not experience this and do get rain.

Is this supposed to be about the standard behavior that setting any amount of rain reduces visibility by an implausible amount, due to excessive haze? Or are you saying when you set rain you don’t get any rain, just haze, like a bug?

No issue here, check out CYYZ now, Live Weather, rain can be observed:

I get plenty of rain as well, there must be something wrong with your settings as I do not believe this is a bug.

Yes, no addons was used as i had just completely reinstalled MSFS and all the settings was default by MSFS. Here I will include the latest screenshot example of a location real time photo and a screenshot of the same location and time in MSFS live weather. Even in the MSFS live weather description in the main menu displayed thunderstorm but when going into the sim only displayed thin clouds and no rain at the location.

here’s the photo of the weather at the location. It was heavy rain and so dark until the streetlights were switched on.

In other word it was not displaying the correct clouds which was supposed to be thunderstorm tall Cumolonimbus abd heavy rain. It is as if the sim somehow decreased the intensity of the live weather. It wasnt like this during the launch version of MSFS where we have correct thick clouds and heavy rain when is was supposed to. The current clouds system seems to be nerfed. I can only see the original clouds system like thunderstorms when i select preset weather which means the weather display is there but not shown in the sim live weather now.
