I noticed the same with the Aerosoft CRJ. For some reason the spool up times (not the initial spool up, but moreso at around 80% and up) it’s more of a ‘crescendo’ and it takes a while for full thrust to be set.
It makes for a slightly unrealistic sound experience. If you go and listen to actual takeoffs in the Citation X and the CRJ, the time it takes to get to takeoff power is pretty rapid.
Couldn’t find many videos online of the real thing, but here’s one from a good few years ago that clearly illustrates (aurally) the fast transition to takeoff power:
So you’re saying it’s taking a long time to get from about 80% power to TO power?
I haven’t noticed that, how long would you say it’s taking?

I have a video linked - it took 9 seconds by my count from Idle N1 22 percent to Max T/O power 83 percent. Per the video you linked based upon audio cues - it took ten seconds from 0:33 to 0:43 before he released brakes for the T/O roll. Presumably he did the same as I did brake wise.

It’s not so much from idle, to @wcc96387’s question it’s more about yeah, like 80% power to takeoff thrust or whatever it is. It hit’s the ‘limit’ head on in like half a second or so.
It’s kind of hard to depict what’s going on in writing because it’s more about the sounds (in my opinion).
I’d like to add to the confusion. I’ve had the Citation X since it was released, I think, and I have been flying it almost every day from when I first got it. Initially, I installed it only on 2024 and everything was sweet. Then, one day it wouldn’t reach a take-off speed and I couldn’t figure out what I’d done wrong. I always start from Cold and Dark and program every flight with Simbrief dispatch. I changed liveries, and whatever else I could think of but, I could not get airborne. Then, I started at the runway without programming and that was it. I still don’t know what the heck it is and I had to give up flying the plane. I don’t like aimless hand flying so without a plan there was no flight. Then I decided to install it on 2020 and we are friends. I used the same flight plans that were unsuccessful in 2024 and the work perfectly in 2020. When I try to search for solutions, I get some weird AI generated answers that don’t make sense so I’m still stuck with the issue. I do like flying the plane in 2024 but that’s ,not possible as it currently is. I’m hoping that someone has come across this and found the reason for this behavior. Cheers.
