Has anyone figured out how to load a specific Stream Deck profile for a given plane? For example, I created Stream Deck profiles customized for my specific hardware setup for the two planes I mostly fly, the Cessna 172 G1000 and the COWS DA-42, and I would like to automatically load the correct profile when flying either plane.
Is that even possible? I have AAO to create my Stream Deck profiles, if that matters.
I am not sure if using the Axis And Ohs it can be done like that, because the actual stream deck and profile switching functionality is handled by the stream deck app and not the axis and ohs actually.
In spad.next this should be doable since the entire stream deck functionality, including profile switching is probably handled from spad itself. Although spad requires ultimate edition subscription and you won’t be able to use the excellent stream deck profiles available in flightsim.to which rely on axis and ohs mostly. Not sure what kind of profiles are available in spad online collection.
One thing can be done is that you can have a button on every profile which can take you to a master profile which in turn should have shortcuts for all plane specific profiles. That can help you switch by just pressing buttons and not needing mouse.
I know this is not the answer you are looking for but it is very simple. I have a default profile called Aircraft selector. On it I have buttons with aircraft pictures and name and I just click on those and they take me to the right profiles. I do this from 1 screen to MSFS and DCS planes.
Then on each profile I have a button that will take me back to the aircraft selector.
This only takes a few minutes to setup and works great.

I’m using also a profile for sekecging the plane.
It starts with a main page, to eelect Jet, Piston, Turboprop and Airliners.
Each aircraft has his own “Startup Page/Profile” with a picture of the plane over all Keys. After a few seconds it switch to the profile with the functional buttons
Nice effort
Thanks everyone, I ended up getting a Stream Deck mini just for this purpose. Created a profile with multi-actions to change the profiles on an XL and a Plus for each plane. Works great. Yes I now have three Stream Decks

Maybe mark the @brlowe1965 answer as the solution?
I love my Streamdecks. I don’t know why, but I thought A&O automatically switched profiles the way SPAD does.
I have done that using SPAD.neXt, but as @AbhishekDey1594 has already correctly pointed out you would need the right license for it and can’t use the premade profiles.
Yes, for the SD+ you need the Complete Edition license. Some think the price is too high, and balk at annual maintenance fees. Their choice.
But if I recall, it is possible to switch between SPAD and Elgato pages in a SPAD profile. I’ve never wanted or needed to try that, so I can’t say for sure. It’s just something I’m remembering from one of Les O’Reilly’s videos.
