Anyone get FSLTL to work in MSFS2024?

It does work but with the same bugs as the default AI traffic.

In FBW installer FSLTL go to settings/Download/community directory + install directory and point to 2024 Community folder instead of 2020. Then move over or copy fsltl traffic base and traffic injector from 2020 community folder to 2024 community folder or install them from FBW installer. Then in MSFS 2024 settings general/graphics/traffic airport quality and air traffic to off and under online aircraft traffic type to off and when in a flight start traffic injector from FBW installer.

I was just going off of the devs themselves who have said it’s not FS2024 compatible.

Absolutely correct - It doesn’t work yet. Any aircraft from FSLTL that show up are not being injected by FSLTL and simply a consequence of being in the community folder. If the Dev says it doesn’t work, it doesn’t work.

Do the FSLTL models still work for VATSIM model matching?

Not correct. Devs can’t recommend using it yet because of bugs but it definitely works with Traffic Injector. Read for yourself on their Discord.

I got the Base pack to work, not the injector. try installing a fresh copy to the msfs2024 community folder (don’t copy and paste from 2020). Go to settings in the FBW installer and choose the 2024 community folder path install it and give it a go.

Yes it works. Personally I had troubles after sim patch 3 which resulted in invisible aircraft. After full reinstall of the FSLTL models , the problem resolved.
Another issue is missing emissive light bulbs, I did some workaround script for that, see here .

When I activate the FSLTL base models, I receive a CTD in combination with VATSIM after an indefinite period of time. It works without FSLTL. I have already deleted and re-downloaded all models, but I have the same problem as before. I guess only waiting will help.

No it doesn’t as the injector does not work in the new sim. FSLTL models can be used when they’re in the community folder, but unless you turn off all traffic in MSFS2024, it’s not FSLTL, it will still use the in-game traffic AI.

What does work is BATC utilzing the FSLTL models.

Was quick on the keys so didn’t clarify my response, sorry about that. I meant it works with VATSIM as mentioned in my linked post. I don’t use AI traffic at all so couldn’t feedback regarding the traffic injection.

Working fine for me, having issues with pink textures on all GA traffic tho. Anyone knows solution ?

I can confirm that FSLTL and MS Traffic models both work when using the BATC injector.

Agreed working for me as well with PSXT and the injector either one works for me

Kudos to IgnoringIvy as this worked for me. My steps (which are essentially the same)

  • Use FBW Installer to install FSLTL Base Model and Injector DIRECTLY to the 2024 Community Folder
  • Set Graphics/Traffic Airport Quality to OFF
  • Set Graphics/Air Traffic to OFF
  • Set Online/Aircraft Traffic Type to OFF
  • After you spawn somewhere, run the injector. I use a batch file and start it with this command line:

start /min “” “D:\FS2024 Community\Packages\Community\fsltl-traffic-injector\fsltl-trafficinjector.exe”

Came back to write an update, but someone already did :).

Anyways, in my case, only had to re-install the injector in the MSFS2024 Community folder, as I have my FSLTL base models already linked via AddOnLinnker. That was pretty much it. Works pretty much like in MSFS2020. Unless I’m using BATC, I run the FSLTL injector. Pretty nice.

These are game changers in the new sim. The in-game counterparts for ATC and traffic are just horrible in the current state. Performance wise, the in-game traffic is just as bad as its predecessor.

A number of folks have said you need to re-install/download the models directly in the 2024 Community folder. Assuming, you have the current version downloaded, why can’t you copy/link them to the 2024 Community folder?

Is there a real reason for this or is it just Flight Simulator Voodoo Magic?

You don’t necessarily have to install the models in your MSFS2024 Community folder, if you already have a link to the models in your community folder. For instance using the AddOnLinker for MSFS2024. Reason being, the injector most probably checks for the availability of the models in the community folder.

The injector, however has to be installed in the MSFS2024 Community folder. It will then be started from there.

A quick question to those that have FSLTL working in MSFS2024: I installed the models and injector in my MSFS2024 community folder and it is working beautifully for parked, taxiing and departing flights at EGLL Heathrow. VERY active with great variety of models and liveries. But while I have had probably 25 or so flights depart in the time that I have had it running, I have not had a single arrival. Anybody experience anything similar?

Thanks

Runs fine on my system from a totally different folder. So there is no need to have it in the community folder.
