Anyone in Virginia with great VR results in MSFS?

I would love to see others results with some of the newer headsets. My VR experience is underwhelming and I keep reading about how great many folks think it is. I have e new PC with 4090/7800x3D and very disappointed with my experience on my Q2. I’m a PC dummie and I’m very hesitant to buy a newer (more expensive) headset as it’s either me (I love resolution) or my lack of knowledge (setup etc). If I could just see others results with a similar system I’d likely spend the bucks. Sorry I’ve posted before, but you never know, I could have a neighbor enjoying flying in VR. I do fly a lot on instruments but even when I look out, my results currently are dssappointing.

Q2 resolution and lens quality is no match for modern headsets. You have the H/W capable of driving Ponad Crystal 9r Varjo Aero.

Most likely it isn’t a HW issue, so no need to buy anything.

Just make sure your settings are correct. Open Mixed Reality Portal app and see if any errors occur. Install OpenXR tools from the app store and check that you have “use latest preview OpenXR runtime” set to “on”, custom render scale set to 100%, Motion repro on “use best frame rate”, disable Nvidia optical flow unchecked and prefer frame rate over latency.

I have a ■■■■■■ system compared to you and my image is crisp and FPS is smooth with G2. Yeah, it needs some tweaking on ingame settings and possibly with OpenXR ToolKit, but that’s the nature of Microsoft Tweaking Simulator where you can get to fly occasionally.

Think this might be your issue =)

Maybe get a G2, Q3, the now more affordable Aero, BigScreen Beyond etc.
