Hi, I have programmed the MIAP and it shows as one device on the Controls (together with the keyboard).
However it is plugged in to a powered USB hub and thank goodness it is as I have to unplug and re-plug the USB from time to time to ensure it functions correctly. My Series S is difficult to access behind my monitor.
I start MSFS on my XBOX and use to Axair to “press any key” when prompted. If it fails that is when I re-plug, it has never let me down in flight after that.
Ok, so the mappings are merged, but you can use the keyboard for some items and the AXAIR for others yes? It’s sharing one layout then!
Hi again,
You can use the keyboard for functions as you normally would.
The key thing is you DUPLICATE the keyboard, not create a NEW profile, as instructed on Axair’s notes.
Correct, yep. Miksnave’s reply is helpful as well. Don’t assign the same key press combinations (between your keyboard and Axair) and you’ll be in good shape. You can see in Controls Settings what MSFS thinks your Axair inputs are and how they correspond to QWERTY keys. They’re pretty arcane, usually special characters.
Red,
I recently purchased the Axair MIAP, and love it. I fly mostly GA, but step into a CJ4 or Vision Jet from time to time, and it works beautifully.
Axair has a Youtube video walking you through the setup for MSFS. Dead simple. Great device.
