Anyone using NeoFly v4?

That’s not what I mean. I know how to get the stars, but I would like to rewrite them myself in the savegame and give them to me without having to fly the ■■■■. I don’t want the qualifications, I just want to fly missions and build my company.

The developers have stated that the database on NF4 can not be edited like before.

So you can either play it how it is, or try one of the other paid career add-ons.

You can also suggest features and improvements on their Discord for them to consider, but it would require you to have a constructive and collaborative discussion with them.

But you can change the database, it just has a different name now. I’ve also seen enough posts where people have changed that. I could give myself money and rank, but I don’t want that. I just don’t want to do the qualifications anymore. I find her so annoying

Well, good luck.

I found a way to change that ^^ but thanks for you answer

You can edit the database using the exact same SQL editor you use for Neofly 3.

They may have intended to encrypt it at some stage but in the end they just gave it an odd name and moved it to an odd place.

Basically instead of encrypting it they hid it in plain sight.

The G2. Just go up and hover carefully so it’s not going up or down. Then just push on the “rudder” and swing around. I don’t think I travelled with it at all. Just went straight up, turned around and straight back down.

Anyone knows how to find planes that can do Firefighting missions? So far I’ve only found a couple of Pilatus liveries and a G21 that can do it.

So, I’ve been using NF3 for a long time (been on and off, but have hundreds of hours in it) and was excited about jumping into NF4, but it just doesn’t seem to be a major leap in any direction?
The new UI, while flashy, does not seem to make things any more intuitive than NF3, I would go as far as to say that while NF3’s UI while a bit more crude, it was also a bit cleaner.
The missions in NF4 seems to be very similar to those in NF3.
The Economy of owning aircraft and maintaining them seems very similar.
Neofly3 had the option for random failures, couldn’t find this option in Neofly4?
It’s still more profitable to take 4 jobs 10nm than 1 job 200nm, not to mention that shorter jobs to the same destination comes in greater quantities than longer jobs. Pretty much exactly like NF3…

The one thing I really liked in NF 4 was the voice of the dispatcher, much nicer than the one you get in NF3.
Could someone elaborate on what exactly is the great advantage of using NF4 over 3?
There must be something obvious I have overlooked…

Gutted. Spent the last few evenings saving up for a Comanche by doing jobs that pay 6 to 8k per pop, and now I look to get it and the prices are 350 to 400k!

What I showed before (replying to my post) had them at 165 - 195k. Now it’s the same prices @Editer shows.

Started doing trading runs instead of missions but I either don’t have weight capacity to spend the bulk of my bank to buy stock that is expensive (and higher profit) or I do t have enough cash to buy lighter stuff and fill up. Not efficient I think.

Ranked up so have the parachute and some other mission types but they don’t really earn more. Parachute takes forever to reach 10k ft altitude for just 4k earnings.

Thought about taking a loan to fill up on light but expensive high profit goods but they are quite rare to find and I think I will lose any benefit by paying back the loan even if it’s same day I will get charged interest?

Any tips to earn more faster?

I suppose I need to pony up a tenner to access the hired pilots?

Hired pilots will get you there very quickly.

I think you’re limited to two until you’re a First Officer, then seven.

What if you look for a rental? I never buy planes now.

That is an option I had not considered, hmmm.

Does the Price Per Owning Day have to be paid in compound effect if you don’t use the sim (or NF) for a few days?

I am not looking to suddenly earn lots. I still want a goal to reach so I think having too much would just kill my incentive to do more missions etc. Once I get the Comanche, I think I will be in that for the foreseeable future. No plans to really get other aircraft (yet) or build a “company” (I might do - quite enjoying using the app) but I had just thought I’d grinded enough to get one soon, and suddenly I am not even half way! :frowning:

I think there’s a seven day cap on expenses, including hired pilots.

I mean, I was happy to pony up the $21 to unlock everything just to reward the author for the awesome development of NeoFly over the last few years.

And having access to hire pilots for my airlines… I haven’t even been optimizing things, just sending folks on missions throughout the day while doing other things, and this is my total after about two weeks…

Gonna lay everyone off and sell my extra planes for a while after I get $20M in the bank.

In the beta the hired pilots were temporarily real-cash free to install so I built up a nice cash reserve and a hangar with hald a dozen Kodiak. In the final release I have now dropped back to just flying myself but with a handy emergency fund. Eventually I will get around to paying the cash and using hired pilots again but happy just flying for now

I would be thrilled to pony up a few dollars for extra stuff EXCEPT…

The very day I was going to do it I discovered (fortunately for my wallet) that the developer updated it and destroyed it for me by removing the ability to use Simrate. I don’t have enough time left in my life to fly over 500 miles of ocean or 200 miles of Sahara desert without it.

I hope one day they change that back. On that day I will get the upgrades.

You don’t have to fly 500 miles of ocean or 200 miles of desert. That’s your choice. You can fly 30-50nm bush trips as much as you like and they are mighty profitable if you stack some jobs.

I don’t believe that’s entirely accurate. You are free to use sim rate, but you will reduce your in-flight XP/payment since NF4 uses your flight time to calculate XP. I think the other XP awards for comfort, security, payload, and mission type are not affected.

I use it roughly 90% for collecting the treasure hunts each day. Or did. Now it reduces it to one unit. It’s not calculated on speed as using any speed of Simrate makes it still one unit. Even if it based it on time, it would be just as annoying. The entire point of simrate is to save time, not alter anything. The time changes, the AI planes speed up around you, it’s not meant to change anything except allow you to do more with your RL time.

I think collecting the treasure is supposed to be hard, no?
