AP not working correctly after a WP

Hey,
so ive loaded in my Flight Plan and the takeoff STAR (or SID im not sure im new to this stuff), and at first everything was working perfectly fine, but at some waypoint the AP just decided to fly somewhere else (I think its doing circles or flying back to EDDF im not sure)
can someone help me with this?

Thanks!

(Aircraft: FBW A320neo)

//EDIT: In the picture AP is turned on

Personal Comments and Observations

Hard to see in the plan, but if that SID has a MANSEQ (Manual Sequence), you’re expected to either handfly it or use HDG mode to remain on track until you get to the next leg where the AP can take over.

MANSEQ is usually noted on the charts (you have charts right? ), indicating that ATC is supposed to vector you manually until you can get enroute. ATC in the sim can’t do that of course, hence the technique above.

Hey,
firstly: Im flying “VFR” for MSFS because I still havent found out how I use my IFR Flightplan (out of Simbrief) when starting the Simulator (I just spawn at the Gate and press INIT Request)
Secondly: Yes, I have charts. But which ones in specific? As I said im really new to this and thought that I figured out most of the stuff but yeah doesnt look like it xd

What runway were you given by ATC to take off from? Simbrief may also have specified the runway and amended a Standard Instrument Departure (SID).

Simbrief told me 07C (or 07R im not sure), but the ATC gave me 25C, so I created a new Flightplan (which I also inserted so everything should be right) which had the Runway 25C as departure. (I also inserted ANEK3F in the MCDU)

Doesn’t look like there’s any MANSEQ, so it’s something else. Hopefully the other folks can weigh in as I don’t fly Airbus.

No problem
But anyway, is there any solution the IFR/VFR Problem I just mentioned?
(That im flying IFR but MSFS thinks im flying VFR)

Well, the plan should be exported to a .PLN and then Imported into the World Map as an IFR plan. That’s really the only way to get ATC to sync their somewhat scripted prompting to your plan. I’m a Navigraph user, but I eschew Simbrief since I have other EFB planner tools that I prefer. I believe there’s a way to export the plan from SB in the desired format. When you’re at the World Map, prior to pressing Fly Now, press the Space Bar instead and navigate to where that .PLN is and import it from there before entering the cockpit.

Make sure the World Planner doesn’t “route roulette” your waypoints. It’s tricky with GA planes, doubly so with airliners because you’re likely specifying a Gate Departure Point.

Use the drop down to select the Gate if it’s not accurate - DO NOT use the map graphic interface (i.e., zoom in, pick the dot). That will change your routing and potentially add legs that don’t match the SB.

Thank you so much!

Ive actually done that now, and everything works just fine (Also with the Autopilot)
Thank you so much

//EDIT: Nvm. It worked but after the WP “Badli” Autopilot decided to do its thing again…

Yikes!

You seem to have entered your waypoints in the wrong order in the MCDU. If you are coming from EDDF, the waypoint NEKLO, which is the next waypoint on your ND, is before the waypoint BADLI. So if the aircraft wants to fly back to EDDF after passing the waypoint BADLI, you have entered the waypoint NEKLO after the waypoint BADLI in the MCDU. Swap the waypoints and everything should be fine.

By the way, you are flying overspeed with an increasing tendency. Check that the A/THR button on the FCU lights up green.

You can find a good introduction to the operation of the A320 here: A32NX Beginner Guide - Overview - FlyByWire Simulations Documentation

Good morning,
Sounds useful, but the problem is that I pressed “init Request” to get the route into the MCDU.
Still thanks i’ll look into the tutorial you sent
