The past week or so I have noticed that sometimes when I load MSFS and get to the World Map screen there is an applause of loud clapping and also when I touchdown on landing. It is really weird because I have not added any 3rd party utilities or sceneries. Is anyone experiencing this?? I find it quite annoying but not sure where to look to investigate.
Do you still get the applause if your landing was terrible ? I have never heard any applause when running MSFS but just maybe, you have a gremlin that we do not have. No one claps for my landings.

I hear applause when I walk in a room. I’ll never get used to it, but such is the price of fame.

Do you have the ability to take a recording with that applause? (Preferably on the World Map screen so the applause would be easier to hear.) Wondering if anyone in the forums would recognize the applause sound and know where it’s coming from.

I am going to remove the Community folder and see if it still happens as well
It could also be speakers crackling, that made it sounds like an applause, but not really.
That has to be a addon, surely? I’ve never heard clapping from the sim. But the OP writes they aren’t using any, but what else could it be?

Back in the olden days of reel-to-reel audio tapes, I made a loop of applause. I could mount it on a spare machine, set it to play, and plug it into a timer. Yes, I woke to applause many days.

Landing Recording Monitor can play applause when you land. It’s a 3rd party external utility.

Hmm, other than the proverbial ghost in the machine, maybe you have a windows sound event that gets triggered when something open/closes or is connected.

Also after a huge process of elimination including removing the Community folder, I have found the source of the issue and I have asked the author of the addon what can be done.
The source is from the latest version of FSUIPC7 v7.0.8 which I updated a week ago. My previous version v7.0.5 does not create this sound file.
After I receive an answer from FSUIPC I will report back so others may know.

I’ve heard it too. First time was just after midnight last night.
I wonder why they added that applause sound in there. I don’t think I have my FSUIPC updated yet.
