Version: 1.3.23.0
Frequency: Consistently
Severity: High
(Low - quality of life, workflow optimization, rare enough to not impact production, etc…
High - critical but workarounds are available, important feature not working as expected, frequent enough to impact production
Blocker - prevents from working on the project, prevents from releasing the product)
Applied force of wind on taxiing aircraft appear to increase in as speed increases, resulting in aircraft demonstrating minimal weathervaning effects at slower speeds
Steps to reproduce:
1.: set any airport as departure with runway departure
2.: set winds to 50+ knots be perpendicular to runway departure heading
3.: select any tail wheel aircraft, cub is fine
4.: taxi at varying speeds from 2-3 knots increasing to 10 knots
Expected result: at all forward speeds aircraft (especially tailwheel) should weathervane
Actual result: weathervaning fades in as speed increases as if applied force is based on ground speed
reference: Reporter is ATP rated pilot with time in tail wheels
