GSX works perfectly fine with SU4 Beta. The jetways are broken in the sim, but they are not part of GSX, they don’t work even from the default ATC menu.
No issues with A2A Planes on my machine in SU4 beta
i can’t get my IFLY to load, freezes the startup screen in free flight
If people don’t communicate the status of the beta, nothing will get fixed. You are free to ignore these threads.
I want to just mute this thread now, but I cannot seem to help myself here.
What is with this gatekeeping?
If someone wants to participate in the beta (rightly or wrongly) and their criterion for being able to participate is having access to X or Y add-on then what is the issue with them asking if X or Y add-on is working?
If the beta fixes this and then breaks it again, so what? The person will just opt out of the beta and return when it is working again.
This thread even got PMDG to chime in with info that Asobo has identified an issue that will be addressed in a future build. That is helpful information to know.
I completely understand, however as most will probably understand: SU3 is a mess and i have no intention to revert unless they bring a hotfix
Bug reports help get the sim fixed not status reports.
That’s your interpretation. Just being honest here as I happen to have a different opinion in this case. Didn’t realise just having an alternate view made you a gatekeeper. This thread has no bearing on the aircraft getting fixed. The issue was already identified prior to this thread.
Perhaps I misunderstood you.
By tiresome, don’t you mean you’d rather they weren’t posed at all? If so, isn’t that shutting people down, i.e. gatekeeping?
So, did I misinterpret you this way? If so, I apologize.
It’s a forum, people come here to talk about the simulator. I don’t understand what the issue is here. They have said in the past they don’t want general discussion in the bug reports, so a separate thread about this seems like no harm or crime.
The mods even moved it out of the beta category.
Then why do they have survey threads with commentary. Same with the general beta discussion thread. Those aren’t bug reports.
It’s not the same every Beta. This Beta appears to have broken a lot.
Beta’s are, by definition, incomplete and buggy. I just do not understand why so many simmers use them as if they were released versions. I also do not understand why Microsoft pushes them so hard because all the ‘it does not work’ comments give the platform a bad vibe.

I have one of my machines on the beta and report issues when I find them. My problem is that the majority of people running the beta are probably not reporting issues to Microsoft and believe the beta is the latest version. When it was released, our support was flooded with questions about an issue we had zero control over. People were angry that our products did not work on the beta (Microsoft found the issue, by the way).

I agree somewhat, but do you have to opt in!
Thank you. That’s kind of the point I was trying to make earlier. Many of those on the beta are not true beta testers but just folks wanting whatever is the latest and when the truth is you are much better on the production release.
