As the title say: are the world and city updates released, built in 2024?

There won’t be any world updates. All that content is what’s now being streamed.
Asobo just update things on the servers and the user doesn’t need to do anything.

Yes, the 2020 World Updates have been updated and are part of 2024. You won’t have to download them, they’ll be part of the streamed data. Time will tell on how much data people will want to download despite the fact it’s being streamed because they feel like their performance will be better.
So the downloadable coming world and city updates are for 2020 only and are ”automaticly” in 2024?

So, we got a bunch of World Updates in 2020. That data has been brought into 2024 and even more detail added, and upgraded to 2024 data standards as best they could. That data will be in 2024, and you won’t have to download it. It’ll be part of your streamed data.
Of course they haven’t created any new World Updates for 2024 yet. Do you realize how much time they take to create? Not only do they take a significant amount of time and money to create, but, a regular release of new World Updates is also part of their marketing strategy, to keep interest in the game. I’m sorry, it sounds like you were expecting all the new World Updates they’ll release in 2024 would have already been created. That’s future work over the next several years. Again, as they get released, they’ll just be part of the data streamed to you.
That’s really one of the main reasons 2024 was developed. They realized World Updates take too much space, and people would have to pick and choose among them.

I just wanted to know are those current updates in 2024 or do we have to download them as in 2020 and forexample the next coming Brazilian world update ( tentatively sheduled 3.12.)

I expect WU Brazil to be available in MSFS 2024 without having to do anything in MSFS 2020 if that’s answering your question.
Are you saying that for now on we get those updates to 2020 too without loading, that would be nice.

No, just in MSFS 2024 without downloading it (unless you explicitly want to do that).
In MSFS 2020 you will still have to get it on the Marketplace and download it.
What I meant is that you don’t have to download it in MSFS 2020 to have it in MSFS 2024.
Maybe I’ll try to rephrase a bit:
- On MSFS24 you are going to get everything which was part of a world update for MSFS 2020 instantly as it’s going to be streamed - you won’t actively need to download a “world update” as a whole package, maybe there will be some small download with some configurations in background.
- The changes have no effect on MSFS 2020 as the architecture of the sim is different. On new world updates you will still need to download a package with airports and POIs as these cannot be loaded “on the fly” like they can on the new sim

Hello everyone !
I switched to MSFS2024 and I noticed that I no longer saw the castle of Saumur which was present in World Update IV (France) on MSFS2020.
Have I forgotten something please?
I uninstalled MSFS2020 completely and installed MSFS2024. Nevertheless in my XBOX/PC version all my FS 2020 World Updates showed up in Marketplace/My Library as “STREAMED” (including World Update IV Western Europe). If I enter Saumur in the Departure search field Château de Saumur is found as a landmark:
A test flight to that location shows a nicely handcrafted building. Good luck!

I completely formatted my pc and just installed MSFS 2024, I can see the castle on the map but not physically in flight…
Well, I’m confused.
My hometown Hannover and Dortmund were part of City Update 1. In MSFS 2024, i can only see generic buildings in those cities. Photogrammetry is activated and works for other cities such as Barcelona or Tokyo.
Any way i can get city Update 1 to work?
