That issue was apparently marked as “solved” a year ago now, and yet here we are still waiting for it (or buying 3rd party software to fix that)… It’s a disappointing to say the least…

you should lessen your expectations what this sim can do.
its still very unfinished and that will be the case for a long time .

3+ years later there still does not seem to be a solution for this. Has anyone found a workaround?
Trying to use the mouse to work the gps while flying a helicopter with Trackir/Tobii isn’t easy.

You need a third party app that can actuate the associated Input Events or HVars, like AxisAndOhs, SPADNext, possibly FSUIPC (not sure about the last one).
Yeah, i’m thinking there is some kind legal matter in the use of Garmin’s kit, which prefents MS/Asobo from implementing the hot/soft/mouldy keys, even though with (even more) external programs it is possible to set…as that’s out of MS/Asobo’s jurisdiction… It’s just silly that they hire Working Title to implement the system, yet fail to hand over the nescessary tools to have it all working for the end user in the first place.. talk about having to jump through hoops…
I’m getting a bit tired of having an addon program for an addon program for an addon program for advanced possiblities like above poster suggested… although i could program a batch file and have a one click solution.. if i only remember how to do that again… pffft.
