I am a newbie so don’t assume anything. Can’t get the no smoking and selt belt buttons to assign to a toggle switch. The strobe button and landing lights worked just fine. Does the bell sound have anything to do with this problem?
I also tried the dropdown selection too. And unchecked Magenta
Which aircraft? You have to use the event that the particular aircraft uses. They don’t all use default MSFS events.

If you are using the Fly by Wire version they are controlled by local variables. For No Smoking: XMLVAR_SWITCH_OVHD_INTLT_NOSMOKING_Position, where the position parameter is: 0=OFF, 1=AUTO, 2=ON.
If you are using the default A320 you cannot access the variable for that switch.
