Assignments in Control settings pages much too big not readable

Description of the issue:

The assigned bindings windows are too small, so that multiple key bindings cannot be read. Also any binding conflict numbers obscure underlying text.

Yes and yes

How often does this occur for you (Example: Just once, every time on sim load, intermittently)?

Always as it’s a basic design error that was never tested.

REPRODUCTION STEPS

Please list clear steps you took in order to help our test team reproduce the same issue:

Ateempt to read any bindings that have duplicates and the number will obscure text.
Multi button bindings are unreadable as they overflow the window with no way to scroll.

What peripherals are you using, if relevant: Joystic throttle quadrant keyboard mouse rudder pedal. Makes no difference to this issue.

In MSFS 2020 one could set the text size to be lower than the current setting of 18. It was also possible to set the UI scaling.

Currently the lowest sizes of the UI panels are still too large and take up huge amount of the view in Desktop or in VR. To make things worse, the ATC panel changes its size very often and at some point become extremely large. Attempts to reduce the size does not help the situation. The Weather panel also takes up a huge space.

Scaling and text size was more than acceptable in MSFS 2020 so why does Asobo has to change this? Asobo please fix this as soon as possible. Besides, windows should be able to keep their current sizes by persisting the changes to the configuration file so we don’t have to continuously resize the windows. Since MSFS windows sizes are not persisted and has been an unresolved issue.

Also provide developers an API to set the windows sizes as this also happens in all the third-party panels. This issue is really frustrating especially in VR because each time VR Mode is toggled, the widows lose their settings and become extremely large and sometimes other issues arise as a result of trying to reset the size of each window.

I think I recall seeing a mod over at flightsim.to that addresses this. But you’re right, it should be done in sim. Voted

• I have the same issue cannot see the bindings info as the columns are too big overlap.
If you turn on filters at the bottom of the page you will see the problem immediately Should be able to change the column width to see the bindings. This is really bad.

Description of the issue:

Since the release of 2024, it is not possible to change the UI font size, which causes overlapping and texts that disappeared.

Yes but also in the normal release.

All the time. It is a UI design issue, causing the UX to be harder.

It is absolutely impossible to read which joystick buttons are assigned to the functions.

That’s actually very annoying! Some do scroll very slow but 90 % don’t. Very strange.

Anyway the UI has to be overhauled asap.
