I don’t have GSX and I have this bug. Anyway, they were able to reproduce it and I doubt they were using any addons. So, let’s wait for fix and hope it comes fast.
IF the problem is directly related to startup times (shorter startup = no problem, longer startup = you lose your settings) then addons would increase that, which could in effect be causing the problem.
Could it be that the cloud is trying to download your settings, but times out after X seconds and everything is reset to Easy?
Me too, when I start the sim, I always find myself in easy
I just tried with a single addon in community folder.
I tried with a freeware livery for a default aircraft and it did NOT revert my settings.
Next test will be all addons except GSX.
I do not have GSX but it may be an addon which overrides assistance settings as it is.
Yeah as I siad may be coincedence but my latest test : 127 addons in Community folder, two sim starts with correct settings. Pasting the two GSX folder also in the community folder → easy settings.
Might not just be GSX but a specific combination of addon files.
Now tried community without GSX: reset to easy
My last guess: Fenix!
Because i know that this is limiting assistance options in the sim…

Not the Fenix either.
Removed it from community and still getting the reset to “easy”.
So either it is an addon other than GSX or Fenix, a combination of Addons or the overall number of addons (i have 287 in my community folder).
An empty community folder is not making a problem but leavese with an “unplayable” sim.
So have to wait if someone else finds the culprit or Asobo can fix whatever causes this .
Sadly, I already tried that and they still reset if it helps, but if you would like to test it too, go ahead!
Stop searching for an addon causing this. It’s no addon, they reproduced it and they don’t use addons.

How you know that they do not use addons?
Because i can reproduce a working setting 100% with an empty community folder.
So whatever they changed for this Beta has an issue that is somehow connected to content of the community folder.
Yeah as @TranquilitySea write: it is not addon related, I just saw that the topic is now offical bug logged. But still interesting that I could safely reproduce it 
but thats the coincedence factor in Software…

We have reproduced this issue and logged it as a bug in our internal tool, but it is still very useful information for us to know if people are not experiencing this issue at all with an empty Community folder or if a specific addon (or combination of addons) is causing the settings to be reset.

Because they wouldn’t try to reproduce a bug using addons, that’s why.
Then why i have no issue with empty community folder?
And as Seedy just wrote to you,it is very useful to try out addons to find the possible cause

Seems the headphone simulation is being reset as well. The setting revert to off after reset.

My community is empty, but the bug is with me:)
With a clean Community folder, and the only add-ons being the World Updates and a few Microsoft planes, I am not getting this issue. Confirming after 4 restarts since the beta started.
I removed GSX and FSLTL from my community directory and the problem disappeared.
