ISSUE DESCRIPTION

Description of the issue:
In career mode firefighting missions, the avionics on the AT-802 do not power on.

Did you experience this issue before you joined the Beta?

If applicable, which aircraft is experiencing this issue:
AT-802

[PC Only] Did you remove all your community mods/add-ons? If yes, are you still experiencing the issue?

FREQUENCY OF ISSUE

How often does this occur for you (Example: Just once, every time on sim load, intermittently)?
Consistently, but only in career mode.

REPRODUCTION STEPS

Please list clear steps you took in order to help our test team reproduce the same issue:

  1. Start Employee mission, “Aerial Firefighting - Initial Attack” with AT-802
  2. Enter aircraft with Shift-C
  3. Turn on Battery master (the key)
  4. Notice that only the engine instruments (MVP-50) come on. Screens are dark on the attitude indicator, COM Panel, GPS, Transponder, Radio, and FRDS controls. (Basically, all the things tied to the Avionics switch)
  5. Avionics switch will turn the green lights on the FRDS on and off, otherwise no effect.

This is limited to career mode. You can repeat the same steps in free flight, and see the correct behavior:

  1. Start a free flight with AT-802 Firefighter from a parking spot
  2. Enter cockpit with Shift-C
  3. Turn on Battery Master
  4. See the avionics power up correctly.
  5. Avionics switch will correctly turn the avionics off and on

Do you have the same issue if you follow the OP’s steps to reproduce it?
• Yes

Provide extra information to complete the original description of the issue:
• Only present after the recent Sim update 2.

This issue only seems to occur in career mode, during an attempted mission only. Not present in Free Flight mode.

The avionics switch is automatically on when entering the cockpit for the first time, but this only began happening after the update.

The issue affects the GPS, Transponder, Radio and Drop controller, but not the engine display (which powers on).

Got the same problem (no Avionics in career missions in the AT-802).
For anyone with the same problem: temporary fix for me is pressing CTRL-X (Toggle Avionics Master), which switches the avionics back on.

Thank you for the bug report.

While we investigate, try pressing CTRL + X to toggle the Avionics Master.

We have created an internal ticket to see if our team already has this logged, and if not they will attempt to reproduce the issue and create a new bug report. This item is now marked as feedback-logged. If there is an existing bug report or one is created, we will move this thread to bug-logged.

I also confirm this bug!
Moreover, if the same aircraft (Firefighter AT-802) is used in Free Flight Mode and starting on the park (Cold and Dark) the avionics will turn on (as opposed to career mode) but the engine won’t start.

The same from my side - sadly SU3 didn’t fix it.

I also confirm that this bug persists even after SU3!

This is annoying since it kills the immersion/realism of what’s probably the most interesting type of missions in the career mode - firefighting missions. And one has to fly Air Tractors before being able to transition to the Canadair CL-415 (and hope this one doesn’t have similar bugs as well).

And such, will we have to wait several more months and have this issue fixed in SU4??

Same problem in SU3Please fix it.

Still happens in SU3.
