Brief description of the issue:

Does anyone else have FL180 issues? Altimeter was 29.60 approaching assigned 18,000 ft. At 18,000 set to standard. For next 30 minutes, ATC was making me go up and down by 300 ft because it couldn’t make up its mind what altimeter setting should be. Biggest roller coaster ride available. LOL

Did you sync baro using the B key?

B Key and manual on the G1000 - nothing changed. ATC still bouncing me up and down. It was a long flight so I had lots of time to experiment. Times past it seemed okay because there was only a small altitude difference, but I think ATC gets triggered by 300’ discrepancies (as in you find yourself 300’ off assigned altitude).
