Brief description of the issue:
TTS mispronounces Traverse City, Michigan.
It is supposed to be pronounced: trÄâ-vĂ»rs
Instead it is being pronounced like the word: trÉ-vĂ»rsâ
Here is a video (0:33) showing the proper pronunciation produced by the cityâs tourism department. If you let the video play, you will hear it pronounced several times. In other mispronunciation bug reports Iâve done, Iâve always given a suggestion on how I think the .tts entries in the .locPak file could be modified. However, in this one, I do not have one because I do not know how to force the emphasis on the first syllable instead of the second syllable. Itâs been done before with words like âresumeâ, âRNAVâ, and âwindâ, so I know that kind of thing is possible.
However, I will say that these are the two applicable .locPak lines that must be fixed:
âATCCOM.AGENT_NAME TRAVERSE CITY.0.ttsâ: âTraverse Cityâ,
âATCCOM.AIRPORT KTVC.0.ttsâ: âTraverse Cityâ,

How itâs mispronounced by ATC today:
Detailed steps to reproduce the issue encountered:
- Start Microsoft Flight Simulator.
- Start a flight at KTVC airport on a runway.
- You donât even have to takeoff. Just listen for the pre-flight cinematics where the pilot will talk to ATC.
Expected result: The pilot says, âTraverse Cityâ, pronounced like trÄâ-vĂ»rs
Observed result: The pilot pronounces it as trÉ-vĂ»rsâ instead. (See above video.)
