ATC directed me into mountain

Various ATC alternatives are mentioned often in topics MSFS ATC topics. Personally, I’ve never used any of these because I find MSFS ATC to be suitable although not perfect for my needs.

Has anyone using any of these ATC alternatives has tried flying the flight plan in question (KSDL → KVGT)? Do any use vectors around mountains instead of through them?

You get vectors from ATC at the end of a STAR.
