ATC Does Not Give Vectors

Its probably a whole different thing in a FMS, ,

An option for ATC to give a FULL detailed clearance, at any time, would greatly help the User to know what is going on here.

At the moment, its all user Guesswork !!!

There was a discussion in the latest developer Q&A about vectors being fixed. To be clear, they are still broken after Sim Update 14. I got a visual approach and did not get any vectors to set me up for anything. I haven’t tried vectors to final yet.

Yeah, can confirm. Also had a visual approach and no vectors, ATC just let me go over the airport and report runway in sight. No vectors for final

Vectors to final isn’t working, either. They handed off to the tower (which is better than what happened before), but not actual vectors.

I’ve found you still have to “beg” for them by repeatedly spamming the “request vector
” prompt.

I’m not entirely sure what they fixed here. I know it says that you’re supposed for receive a new vector when requesting one, but I still will get the same vector repeated to me on repeated requests for a vector.

It is so weird to just be left hanging by ATC flying blindly off in some direction wondering when you need to ask for another vector.

I always cringe when ATC assigns me a visual approach with vectors. It’s so badly implemented and frustrating when trying to work with its major limitations.
