ISSUE DESCRIPTION
During the Charter Service – VIP mission “VIP Travel #AAA16 – Valencia – Check-in Completed” using the Cessna Citation Longitude, the ATC system fails to initialize the “awaiting frequency change” state after giving a frequency change instruction.
As a result:
• Pressing Enter to acknowledge ATC does nothing
• The COM frequency remains on the previous ATC frequency (it does not switch to the instructed one)
• Manually tuning the instructed frequency does not generate any ATC menu options
• The mission continues in “awaiting response” state
• The player is penalized for “not responding”
• Performance score is reduced by 25%
This appears to be a failure of the ATC state machine to transition into the frequency‑change state.
FREQUENCY OF ISSUE
Happened once so far, but the behavior is fully reproducible following the same mission steps.
REPRODUCTION STEPS
- Start the mission:
Charter Service – VIP → VIP Travel #AAA16 – Valencia – Check-in Completed - Fly normally until ATC gives a frequency change instruction
(in my case: 135.352 MHz, approximate) - Press Enter to acknowledge
→ No response (ATC does not react) - Check COM frequency
→ It remains on the previous ATC frequency, not the instructed one - Manually tune COM1 to the instructed frequency
→ ATC menu remains empty
→ No response options appear - Mission continues as if waiting for ATC acknowledgment
- Player receives:
• Procedure penalty
• 25% performance reduction
