ATC: Hold Position, Caution Other Traffic

I was told by ATC, while taxiing to parking to ‘Hold Position, Caution Other Traffic’.
I don’t use AI Traffic, only Multi-Player. So was ATC referring to another player that may have been landing? I didn’t see anyone on final. This was at KORD and there were a lot of other players in the air and on the ground.

Do you have “Airport Vehicle Density” set to something other than 0? If so, it could be that you are put on hold due to a ground vehicle, which is totally opposite to real life, where all vehicles must give way to aircraft.

Yes, I think that is set to 10%.
I didn’t know that would even effect ATC.

Well, to be honest I’m not 100% sure as it hasn’t happened to me recently - in fact quite often a truck will approach my taxiing aircraft from the opposite direction with no request from ATC to hold, but I’m fairly certain I had it happen some time ago.

Vary rarely have ground vehicles caused ATC to stop me but happens quite a lot at the bigger airports. The clue it’s going to happen is someone else asking for taxi permission or an aircraft is on approach.

What irritates me, though, is being given clearance to enter a runway and take off when someone else has been cleared to land on that runway. That would NEVER happen IRL or the controller would lose his ticket!
