“takeoff” is only used by the local controller,
Avoid using the term “takeoff” except to actually
clear an aircraft for takeoff or to cancel a takeoff
clearance. Use such terms as “depart,” “departure,” or
“fly” in clearances when necessary.
REFERENCE−
FAAO JO 7110.65, Para 3−9−9, Takeoff Clearance.
FAAO JO 7110.65, Para 3−9−10, Cancellation of Takeoff Clearance
Normally only the “local controller” will issue this clearance.

Do you mind telling me which files you edited to obtain the desired result. I fly in the US near Fort Worth, Texas. I have NEVER heard any controller say, Piper 365, Contact Eff Tee Worth Center. Ever! I pity the poor fool who ever does. He would not live it down. Please let me know how to proceed. I have tried to locate the file(s) and would love to fix.
Thanks in advance
This is a file in OFFICIAL, so you need to be very careful if you edit it, and expect it to be overwritten, with any updates.
ie make a back of the original, and also make a backup of any edited versions.
For English, the text file is en_US.locPak in official\Onestore\fs-base
BE CAREFUL if you choose to edit it !!
Note: Its ONLY the “Ft” in the tss (text to speech) that you need to change to “Fort”
not the ones in the text.
Always make sure you make a copy of the original file just in case.
might need to look at adding this line to your next update:-
“ATCCOM.ATC_NAME_BEECHCRAFT.0.text”: Beechcraft",
as it has been missing since release day.
Also I changed the “continue as planned” to “radar contact” as it sounds better.
All in all thanks for your mod as i could not have sat and changed all that lol.
Yeah I will as soon as I have the time, hope SU5 will not screw it up .
well heres hoping (fingers crossed) lol
Apparently some updates ago “Radar” also changed back to “Center” so I have to compare the locPak files and see what line they’ve changed. They only need to change a point somewhere and the script will not overwrite it…
Wow there was a lot of stuff broken since that update with FAA phraseology, I’m working on an update!
That’s no surprise then lol, will wait for update or just use older one I have.
I’ve uploaded the new version to flightsim.to
That sounds good did you add the beechcraft text line too?
I have to look into it as there is nothing to replace.
“ATCCOM.ATC_NAME_BEECHCRAFT.0.text”: Beechcraft",
This line needs adding to atc not replacing
I know but my script is looking up lines which match and replaces them, I have to look up how to add a line where nothing is there to replace, I might have a solution.
ah ok never looked at it that way, another little one is the way it says brize norton, i had to change it to bryze norton for it to be prenouced properly. This is more if you fly over southern England.
Should work now (Beechcraft) with version 1.6!
cool, thanks for that, I have downloaded it and i am waiting for flight sim to update as been at work, will prob be tomorrow now as servers being slow again
