The dumb ATC makes you switch back and forth between centers that are nearby way too much. I less that 10 mins I was instructed to switch back and forth from Cleveland Center to Detroit Center no less than 6 times. GET REAL! How many air accidents would probably occur if pilots were constantly having to mess around with radio freqs when one of those two centers should be handling my flight exclusively without bouncing back and forth. I eventually just cancel IFR with ATC and say a silent prayer and apology to anyone I might fly straight into.

ATC is a problem in general in the sim… they said they’re working on improving it. To me the most annoying issue is when ATC is talking to 5 different planes at ones and because you can’t reply to it because it won’t let you, it terminates your flight plan… very frustrating issue. The ATC totally a pain.

Personally, I’ll be glad when ATC actually takes aircraft performance into account and stops asking me to take my C172 to FL180…
