ATC options limited if I want to keep flying after landing somewhere

Not sure where to post this, and can’t find a similar topic. But, let’s just say I want to fly a bunch of short hops, in the same jet, and plan the first leg, gate to gate. Do I need to exit to menu to load up the next leg, or is there a way to do it right from the flight deck? I have done it with the default garmins (iirc) but was curious if there’s a method if a plane doesn’t have a garmin (which I assume is interfacing with the MS flight planning and nav db?) Thx!

Access to flight planner without leaving current flight

It would be great if you didn’t have to exit out to the main menu between flights to use the flight planner. If I want to fly from Airport A to Airport B, then on to Airport C, it spoils the immersion to have to go back to the main menu, plan the new flight and then have the sim reload with the aircraft in a different position and start it up from cold and dark again. This was possible in FSX, and I would frequently do a three-leg route in an airliner this way.
