Has been happening to me still. both in the AN-225 and the newly released ATR-72 on Series X. keeping it off until I hear of a fix.

Though I am new to MSFS but have faced the same issue with ATC giving repeated instructions for same FL.Sometimes ATC asks you to climb to higher FL and heading and in the next breath instructs to descend to a much lower altitude. This happens quite close to a point when one is about to push buttons forLOC and APRCH under IFR approach.
I rarely fly wtih ATC but I’ve been mucking about with the 787 and flying with ATC and IFR stuff etc and I’ve been annoyed by this constant repeating of instructions to AI planes but I noticed something. I have Little Navmap open as I like to see what I’m flying over and also the AI planes around me and I’m seeing the AI airliners popping in and out of existance, usually the ones farther. I guess the sim is culling them and then loading them back into the sim from the FlightAware data? Anyway when they pop back in the ATC issues new (well the same) instructions to them and this will repeat over and over as the sim culls and reloads the AI flights.

That is an amazing explanation for what is going on.
It seems like they need a buffer to keep track of recently added/dropped/added aircraft, so they don’t treat each one as a “new” aircraft”. That or suppress these initial messages.
That and other problems with ATC have been going on for over half a year now. Will anything else happen here?
Two things in particular are extremely annoying.
- Frequent repetitions of flight control, without response from the AI pilots.
- Flight control and AI pilots each have only one identical voice. Either male or female, but always an identical voice.
