Happens to me more and more, flying in the mountains, would like to fly higher and ATC denied my request for a higher flightlevel and/or altitute. i have clear vision, no clouds but the mountains are coming really close…
anybody an idea?
I had to do it stepped… a few thousand feet at a time.
Thats what i dont understand. It wasnt a big jump…
i only wanted to climb form 11000 ft up to 13000 ft.
The ATC in this game is just totally broken. There is zero reason for that to happen. I guess if you’re in VFR conditions you can just cancel IFR and do your thing. lol To be fair, if you were in IMC you could probably do the same thing without any consequences.
The ATC in this game really does have me scratching my head sometimes. There was one time, I was at like 12000 feet and I was cleared for an approach where the IAF was like 2000 feet. I did some quick math and realized I needed to be descending like 10 miles ago. So I pulled the power back and started my decent. Then, in the annoying AI voice “You are 1000 feet below your assigned altitude”. So I’m clear for the approach, in danger of not getting down in time, no special altitude instructions, but I have to stay at 12000. Makes sense.
