I am not sure if it is something new but, Flying in sweden ATC may terminate by saying “god dag” instead of the standard “good day”. PLEASE, do not try to say it in swedish anymore. The pronunciation is terrible, ears shrinks in pain and it HURTS. I have not heard this used any other place than in Sweden.
I think azure text to speech servers are having trouble again because for now I cant communicate to atc at all the window opens but I cant choose any option sometimes the sim then automatically switches to windows text to speech and if you have swedish package or in my case german installed in your windows it will change it to that…
Will await and see if it turns to standard again.
Don’t wait. Just make sure you have the English US language package, voice, and text to speech package installed in your Windows Regional and Language settings. Once everything is installed, try the ATC again.
If it still doesn’t work, try to switch to the English US language option as your default language in the Windows settings, then try the ATC again.
Yes this is hilarious. Though my system and language packs are en-us, I also have a second language zh-cn. For whatever reason ATC decided to read out every number in Chinese while the rest of the text in English. I had no idea and since then switched to using offline TTS instead of Azure.
I also notice an unidentified language when ATC announces runway numbers. This is also a new observation.
You could always turn down the voice volume and read the subtitles instead, makes atc much nicer to use
thanks for suggestion, but as I am used to RL ATC it would feel a little awkward to recieve written messenges from them.
I’ve heard quite a bit of ATC weirdness. For example, when taking off from runway 34. the Azure TTS will read this as runway 3, and completely drop the 4.
That sometimes happens to me, when I loose the connection with game servers ATC starts reading the instructions in English as it were Spanish, and is really terrible.

Are you sure you didn’t take off from the wrong runway?
No, I had the ATC subtitles on, and the text reads 34, the runway was 34, but audio said runway 3.
