Brief description of the issue:
Can’t enter destination waypoint from VFR condition while airborne.

Detailed steps to reproduce the issue encountered:
Cold and Dark ATR 42/72-600 any airfield parking area. For me I used KSTL - 30L. Normal startup procedure. For clarity I was doing laps VFR for practice at my home airfield (KSTL) parking near and using 30L. I was gonna switch to using ILS. I entered 111.5 for 30L ILS i swtich from fmc to ils. The plane would not pickup the frequency. It still picked up the loc and gs. It almost ran me into a building. I let it fly on purpose to see what would happen. Did a go around. Looked to switch to LNAV. Magnar instructed you can add waypoints mid flight. I tried to do that and my game froze.
