I wanted to add that this bug makes this aircraft unusable on any online atc platform like VATSIM or PILOTEDGE which is how I exclusively use the sim. Furthermore, considering how good the rest of this addon is, how can such a simple bug be so missed and overlooked? And one last comment. I found another thread on this exact topic in the bug section. The thread was closed because the comment from a moderator stated that this bug was fixed. Obviously it wasn’t. Please fix this. Thank you.

I use the ATR quite a bit but I’ve not seen this error at all and I switch comms and navs regularly. I will check again tonight once I finish work and will report back or record a little video. It might of re-occurred with an update.

Please do check for me.. If you are able to switch between transmitting on com 1 to com2 and back again USING THE AUDIO PANEL NOT THE ATC DIALOG BOXES then please let me know.

Hi @Buzzer882 hope all is well, sorry I didn’t get back sooner I was on a long haul flight in a 747  however I’ve just checked now and no issues, here is a video recording:

Might be worth emptying the community folder and rechecking. Hopefully I’ve understood the issue correctly.

Hey Zooze… Yeah, we aren’t talking about the same thing. You are swapping between the standby frequency and the active frequency on each of the com radios. I have no problem doing the same. The bug that I mentioned, involves the inability to switch transmit from com1 to com2 and back to com1.

Please check this yourself by following the steps I listed in the original post and report back. Here are the steps to reproduce.

  1. Start at a runway threshold powered up…
  2. Open the radio page of the FMS to view com1 is selected as the transmit radio.
  3. Press the com2 select button on the audio panel
  4. Notice on the FMS radio page that com1 is still selected to transmit.
  5. If you keep trying by pushing buttons on the audio stack, then at some point you will get com2 selected, but you will never be able to get com1 back as the selected radio…

But thank you for trying to help.

I confirm the challenges you are having. Its quite annoying as well. And it also bugs the atc voices as well on occasions.

Thank you for checking and reporting. This is an important issue as it restricts users/owners of this payware item from utilizing it properly on the very popular VATSIM and PILOTS EDGE services which require realistic communication and usage of the radios.

Thank you for reporting and voting.

Zooze, don’t forget to vote at the top of this page.

Tyty for the reminder

Outa curiosity, does anyone know at what point that Asobo/Microsoft finds this bug report and considers doing something about it? Can they simply ignore it if not enough people are using online ATC to find this bug troublesome?

Is the Asobo Test team going to have a look at this issue please? If not, then please let me know and I will attempt to receive a refund.

Hi, i’ve have just noted this bug as i’m beginning to use external ATC.
I’ve managed to switch to com2 using mixing console but never could go back to com1 for transmitting ..
